Meet Attorney Katrina Davis

Katrina Davis

When Davis Firm, LLC, launched in 2018, it marked Katrina Davis’ return to the practice of law following a number of years when she focused on teaching and raising the family. She joined her husband, Scott Davis, in building a personal injury law practice designed to provide superior service to clients in the Chattanooga area.

Katrina and Scott met in 1990 when the two were seniors at the University of Tennessee, where they shared a goal of becoming lawyers. To that end, they both enrolled at the University of Georgia School of Law. They graduated in 1994.

Katrina began her legal career practicing family law in a Cleveland, Tenn., firm. When Scott was deployed in the U.S. Air Force a year in Florida a year later, she accompanied him there. He remained in the Air Force for four more years, returning to civilian life in 1998. Then he and Katrina moved to Athens, Ga., where he practiced criminal defense law and she taught business law classes at Athens Technical College.

The Davises moved back to Chattanooga in 2004, and Katrina has devoted most of her time to raising their three children and volunteering in their schools. Currently, their eldest child is a student at Baylor School, their middle child is a student at The Bright School, and their youngest is a preschooler.

Although she didn’t practice law for many years, Katrina was always a valuable professional partner for Scott. He frequently relied on her critiques of his planned opening and closing arguments when trying cases. In her new practice, Katrina is focusing on personal injury law for the first time and enjoying the challenge.

It also provides her the opportunity to return to the aspect of lawyering that she loves the most. “The thing I always liked best about practicing is interacting with clients,” she says. “I enjoy meeting new people, getting to know people and being able to help them in some way.”
