Christian “Scott” Johnson is a fan of Memphis Tigers basketball and Tennessee Volunteers football who can occasionally be found on the golf course, anywhere outdoors with his family or at a gospel music concert. Mr. Johnson is a native of Memphis who was raised in middle Tennessee. During high school, college and law school, he continually worked either part-time or full-time, instilling in him a strong work ethic which serves his clients well.
He has been recognized by his peers in the nation’s foremost legal directory, Martindale Hubbell, as a preeminent attorney – the highest possible rating. In a day when numerous factors keep many litigators from trying cases, Mr. Johnson still tries lawsuits. He represents clients in all types of civil matters including personal injury, products liability, workers’ compensation, construction, insurance coverage, bad faith, contract disputes, and other business, insurance and entertainment industry matters. He has also earned designation as a Tennessee Rule 31 listed General Civil Mediator and actively serves as a mediator on all types of legal disputes.
He is licensed in Tennessee, and is admitted to the federal district courts for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the Middle District of Tennessee, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. His past and current memberships include the Tennessee Bar Association, the Chattanooga Bar Association, the American Inns of Court, the UTC English Department Alumni Association, the Sigma Chi Fraternity Alumni Association, and the Gideons. He and his family are members of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.
